Wow, now we have our flag on space!!!

Brazilian astronaut Marcos Pontes waves a Brazilian flag after he arrived at the ISS with Expedition 13 commander Pavel Vinogradov and flight engineer Jeffrey Williams Expedition 12 commander Bill McArthur and flight engineer Valery Tokarev welcomed the astronauts aboard on April 1, 2006.

We are very happy with this new advance! Brazilians can say that one of us has been out of earth!!!And prove that Brazil isn't a jungle...

Itaunas Dunes

Hi!
Up to the beginning of the 50's, Vila de Itaúnas was like any other at Espírito Santo coast where the villagers led a quiet life fishing, hunting, trading and going to the church. The old village spread along two main streets with about 100 houses and half a dozen warehouses. On one side there was Itaúnas river and on the other there was a sand covered with vegetation.
During the day we seized the beaches, ate some appetizers is kiosks with Brazilian music. At night we went to the traditional "forró de Itaúnas". The inabitants, mainly the yongers ones, go to this place. They are very nice and willing to receive well those that could already dance and teach the less experienced ones.

All tourists have to visit Itaúnas, realizing that it is a very vulnerable place and that the nature and the village have to be preserved as much as possible.
It's really wonderful!

Trindade island

Hello! Some thinks about a interesting island:

The island of Trindade is situated in the South Atlantic Ocean, 1.140 km far from the Brazilian coast (20º 30'S and 29º 18' W of G). It is the top of a big volcanic mountain that is part of volcanic submarine mountains. The relief is extremely irregular, the island area is13,5 sq.km, there are three peaks high about 600 m.: the Desejado Peak is the highest point of the island (640 m), the São Bonifácio and Trindade, both between elevations of 550 and 600 m.

A LITTLE ABOUT BRAZIL...

HELLO FRIENDS

Here in this country, named Brazil "the country of the maravellous" (rsrs), there are many beautiful things and places. One of them is the Fernando de Noronha's Island, considered a paradise of the beaches, mabe better then Hawai. It's a dream for many brasilians to go there (I wanna go there too)...there's a picture for who wants to see that...>>>>>

In this island you can do many paradisiac things, it's so nice to dive in the sea 'cause the watter is "transparent" and there are much more colored fish as you can imagine...you can say that there is a "Heaven in the earth"....

Please, if you go there call me how it was...and please ask me to go too...rsrs

We are so much sorry...=[

We didn't talk nothig about the music we post in this blog last week, but we are going to...

The lyric says something criticising Brazil, the poor people is there here, how much they suffer.

It talks about how the politic try to cover all of the problems, people that are not busy to help each other. How much this people turn hard consumers of not necesssary things...This lyric is very nice when it talks criticising, but it's bad when it says a part of the truth of Brazil...Oh, it's bad to the tourists, who want's just to know beautiful things...

and that's all!!

Wow, look at this delicious food in the picture... It's the best kind of food that there is in the wolrd!! don't you agree???

The name is "MOQUECA CAPIXABA", you can find this if you come to Brazil and

visit the Espírito Santo state...more necessarely in Vitoria's city..

But it's not only that you can find in Vitoria, there are many beaches,

in Vitória and around there...

by the way, you can find more things around Vitoria's city, Espirito Santo is a little state

but you can go to the montains in the morning and then you can go to the beach too..

It's really fascinating!!!
